The rumour mills have been suggesting that Huawei will be unveiling the successor to the Mate 8 sometime this year. We have already seen a number of leaks and reports regarding the upcoming Mate 9. Now some reports out of China suggest that the company will be officially taking the covers off the Mate 9 on November 8th. In addition, a few details regarding its specs, variants, and their pricing have also surfaced on the interwebs.
According to the sources, the Huawei Mate 9 will be available in as many as three variants. The base model will offer 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and another variant with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will also be available. The top-end edition of the device will offer 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. As per the reports, apart from the fingerprint sensor, the Mate 9 will also feature an iris scanner, just like the one seen on the Samsung Galaxy Note7.
As for the pricing, the sources indicate that the base model with 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage will be priced at 3,199 Yuan (~Rs 32,150 ) or 3,399 Yuan (~Rs 34,160), depending on the networks supported. The 4GB RAM/ 128GB model will sell for either 3,899 Yuan (~Rs 39,200) or 4,699 Yuan (~Rs 47,230). The top-end variant with 6GB RAM/ 256GB storage will allegedly come bundled with a 2nd-gen Huawei smartwatch, and will set you back by 7,388 Yuan (~Rs 74,260).
Apart from the aforementioned details, the colour variants for the various Huawei Mate 9 models have also been leaked. The base model of the phone will be available in Silver, Grey and Gold hues. The 128GB storage edition will come in Rose Gold and White Ceramic models, apart from the usual hues available on the base model. The top-notch 6GB RAM/ 256GB edition will be available in Amber Gold, Amber Grey, Ceramic White, Champagne Gold, Mocha Gold, Silver, Pink Gold, Shiny Black and Sky Grey

According to the earlier reports, the Huawei Mate 9 will flaunt a 6-inch (15.24cm) QHD display, and will be powered by a Kirin 960 SoC. It will flaunt dual 20-megapixel primary cameras from Leica with optical image stabilisation, and will boot Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
